About White Lotus Counselling
Trauma-informed psychological care for individuals, families, and communities
At White Lotus Counselling, you are met with respect, compassion, and clinical expertise. This is a space where your story is taken seriously, your strengths are recognised, and your healing is supported at your pace.
Led by Aracely Duran, Registered Psychologist and Level 4 ACA Counsellor, White Lotus Counselling provides evidence-based, culturally responsive therapy for people navigating trauma, adversity, and major life transitions.

A practice grounded in experience, integrity, and care
White Lotus Counselling was established to offer thoughtful, ethical, and deeply trauma-informed care, particularly for people who have felt unheard, unsafe, or overwhelmed by systems in the past.
Aracely brings over 15 years of experience across community, clinical, and leadership roles, working with women, children, families, and individuals impacted by:
-
Domestic and family violence
-
Sexual assault and violent crime
-
Childhood and complex trauma
-
Mental health challenges and emotional distress
-
Neurodevelopmental and behavioural concerns
-
Substance use and co-occurring issues
-
Grief, loss, and major life transitions
Her work has spanned frontline therapy, complex assessments, clinical supervision, program development, and senior leadership. This breadth of experience means your care is informed not only by therapeutic skill, but also by a deep understanding of systems, risk, recovery, and long-term wellbeing.
Culturally responsive and inclusive care
White Lotus Counselling is committed to providing care that is respectful, inclusive and culturally safe. Aracely has extensive experience working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds and understands the importance of context, identity and lived experience in healing.
Sessions can be conducted in English or Spanish and care is adapted to reflect each client’s cultural, social and personal values.
Flexible, accessible therapy
All services are offered via secure telehealth, allowing you to access high-quality psychological support from the comfort and privacy of your own space. Telehealth also increases accessibility for regional, remote, and time-poor clients.
Evening and weekend appointments are available.
